Ritz Crackers products recalled over potential salmonella contamination

Mondelēz Global, the parent company of Ritz crackers, is recalling varieties of Ritz Cheese Crackers Sandwiches as a precaution over reported salmonella contamination. The recalled products come in various sizes and “best when used by” dates, so just to be safe, consumers should not eat any varieties of Ritz Cheese Cracker Sandwiches. Representatives say the problem was found to be from contaminated whey powder used in the making of the various products. The company says there are no reports of anyone falling ill and the recall is being done as a precaution. Consumers are advised to not eat any of these products. Throw them away or return them to the store.
