The National Weather Service in Bellemont has issued a Red Flag Warning due to strong winds and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 11-am Thursday morning until 8-pm Thursday night. An earlier Fire Weather Watch has been canceled. Areas affected include much of Coconino and Navajo counties, Yavapai County Mountains and portions of central Apache County. South to Southwest winds of 15-to-25-mph are predicted with gusts to 40-mph. Any fires that develop have the potential to spread very rapidly. Dry and windy conditions are also in the forecast for Friday.
