Overheated condenser threatens to catch fire at convenience store in Prescott Valley

Sunday, Central Arizona Fire and Medical responded to the Circle K on Prescott East Highway and Highway 69 in Prescott Valley for a possible fire. Fire Marshal Rick Chase says crews arrived and did not located any fire. He says they used a thermal imaging camera to find the source of the smoke, which turned out to be a refrigerator condenser that was overheating. Chase says crews unplugged the unit and assisted employees with ventilating the store to remove the smoke and smell.
