Rising gas prices have slowed to a crawl in Arizona, increasing a penny this week to just over $3 a gallon. The national average shed 1.9 cents to $2.94 per gallon. Michelle Donati, spokeswoman for AAA Arizona, says gas prices appear to be tapering off, signaling that prices may stabilize as we move further into June. She says the shift, in part, can be attributed to falling crude oil prices, although it likely won’t be enough to drop gas prices more significantly this summer. Tucson has the cheapest gas in the State at $2.82 per gallon. Flagstaff has the highest prices at $3.19 per gallon.
