Kaibab National forest has added another 4 abandoned campfires to the list this week. Those added to the 2 from Prescott, 11 in Coconino and 12 found in Apache Sitgreaves National Forest makes a total of 29 reported abandoned campfires. Three of the fires found in Apaches Sitgreaves had spread outside of the camp fire ring by the time they were caught by law enforcement officers. Officials say anyone of these campfires could have turned into a fast moving wildfire due to our current drought conditions. If you spot an abandoned campfire, call 911.
