Friday afternoon, the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office responded to an area north of Flagstaff along Highway-89 to investigate the discovery of a dead body. Deputies received a call from the Wupatki Ranger Station, regarding a camper who found what was believed to be a body near their camp. Once on scene, deputies were able to locate and confirm it was a female. The victim was taken to the Coconino County Medical Examiner to determine the identity and exact cause of death.
