Fire managers on the Coconino National Forest are planning to burn a 100-acre area immediately south of Munds Park Tuesday morning. The burn will take place immediately south of Odell Lake. Officials say this burn is particularly important to protect Munds Park from severe wildfire and will be especially challenging being so close to the community. Fire crews will be working in the area today and through the weekend to prepare the area for the burn.
