8/27 July 29-th, YCSO Deputies responded to a rattlesnake bite, in a remote area, off Perkinsville Road. A camper had been bitten by a rattlesnake and was showing mild symptoms from the venom when deputies arrived. Deputies kept the man alert and as calm as possible as the symptoms continued to worsen. The man’s condition quickly worsened with vomiting, convulsions and intense muscle pain setting in. A responding ambulance could not make it to the victim, so it was decided to fly him out in a helicopter. The man was taken to a Phoenix area hospital where it took him several days to recover.
