2/3 Yavapai County and YCSO intercepted and recovered $850-thousand following a cyberattack that targeted county money. County spokesman David McAtee says cybercriminals gained access to their email system through a 3-rd party vendor and redirected a payment into a fraudulent bank account. YCSO investigators tracked the money, had the account froze and recovered nearly all of the money. The investigation continues.
