6/30 Glen Canyon National Recreation Area says s Utah man drowned at Lake Powell Friday. Officials say 30-year-old Vi-Thien HA and 25-year-old Ember Gonsalves stopped in the area of Wahweep Bay to swim. Winds picked up and pushed their boat away from them. Gonsalves was able to get back to the boat, but HA was not able and went under the water. HA’s body was recovered from 30-feet water and was then turned over to the Utah State Medical Examiner Office so exact cause of death can be determined.
