6/30 ADOT says there will be no construction closures over the Independence Day holiday weekend. Construction will stop Thursday afternoon and resume Monday. For summer travel, ADOT recommends having an emergency kit in your vehicle that includes extra drinking water, blankets, first-aid kit, flashlight, extra batteries, a fully charged cellphone and charger and snacks. Heavy traffic is expected through the weekend.
