9/8 Water conservation efforts continue within the Grand Canyon and park officials say it’s working. Conservation efforts have offset approximately 105,000-gallons of potable water each day. Officials hope the trend continues. Crews are also working to make repairs to the infrastructure damaged during the event. Officials say the search also continues for 53-year-old Timothy Smith, of Wyoming, who was swept away by the flood waters. Search teams continue working in the canyon and along the Colorado River.
