8/25 Prescott Police issued a criminal citation to Prescott Valley Mayor, 49-year-old Kell Palguta, for misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct. The charges stem from an incident on the afternoon of August 16-th in which Palguta is accused of assaulting a bar patron at a saloon in Prescott. Surveillance footage shows Palguta entering the business and sitting next to another patron at the bar. The victim returned to sit next to his spouse at the bar and began talking with Palguta, who was in his chair. The two argued over the stool until Palguta grabbed the victim’s arm and shoulder and pushed him. Staff intervened and stopped the dispute.
