2/5 Prescott National Forest fire managers remind the public that they’ve planned a burning operation on Mingus Mountain. The pile burn is the result of machine and hand piles created during hazardous fuels reduction and thinning projects on the mountain. If the weather allows, the burn will begin next Tuesday, and continue through the remainder of the winter months. Smoke will likely impact the Quad-City area and the Verde Valley as smoke settles into low lying areas at night.
