The Prescott National Forest is entering into Stage I Fire Restrictions this Friday at 8-am. Under the restrictions, building, maintaining, attending or using a fire, campfire, charcoal, coal, or wood stove, except in developed recreation sites with metal fire rings or cooking grills is prohibited. Smoking is only allowed in an enclosed vehicle or building, or in a developed recreation site. Target shooting is also prohibited. These same restrictions go into effect on the Tonto National Forest this Wednesday morning.
