6/01 There was a fatal fire on Apache Trail in Pinetop Sunday morning. Officials say crews arrived to find the house fully involved with fire. One occupant escaped the house and ran to a neighbor’s house for help while a second occupant did not make it out of the house. Firefighters located the victim who was later pronounced deceased at Summit Healthcare. The initial investigation suggests the fire was caused by an electrical issue. Names were not released.
