A transient man listed as missing with YCSO on April 8-th was found dead the following day. YCSO spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says family members became concerned about the 64-year old man when they found his vehicle parked in the Goodwin Burn area near Big Bug Wash and Mayer. D’Evelyn says the Yavapai County Search and Rescue Team’s Search Dog Unit searched the area Monday and by that night located the body of the missing man. He says the man’s body was turned over to the medical examiner to determine his cause of death. The victim’s name was not released. D’Evelyn says the man had made suicidal comments to his family prior to his disappearance.
