6/03 ADOT will start a 2.5-year project to finish widening Highway-260, between Payson and Forest Road-300, or Rim Road. Crews will be working along a 4-mile stretch, in the area of Star Valley. Work will take place from 5-am to 5-pm, Mondays through Thursdays and from 5-am to noon on Fridays. Work will halt during the winter months and resume in the spring. When needed, a flagger and pilot vehicle will guide motorists through the work zone. The project includes 3-wildlife crossings, right-turn only lanes and landscaping in the median.
