9/9 Flagstaff says Kinder Morgan donated 4-acres of land to the city for the construction of the Shadow Mountain Flood Basin. The basin will reduce flood risks, in eastern Flagstaff neighborhoods, from the 1977 Radio Fire burn scar on Mount Elden as well as flooding from upstream from the city limits. The land is located on Appalachian Road. For more information about City of Flagstaff flood mitigation efforts, visit flagstaff.az.gov/stormwater
