5/08 Verde Valley Fire District responded to a call Thursday afternoon of a hiker who fell in the area of Sycamore Canyon Road and East Tuzigoot Road. Officials say the hiker fell 60-feet from a cliff and needed medical help. A steep angle rope rescue was launched and the patient was brought to safety. The patient was put on a helicopter and flown to a hospital for treatment.
