8/04 Grand Canyon Park officials say they found a new break along the Transcanyon Waterline, about 1-mile below Cottonwood Campground. Officials say until further notice, potable water is unavailable at Cottonwood Campground and Manzanita Rest Area. Hikers in the North Kaibab Trail corridor should carry enough water or bring filtration and water treatment.
