Prescott Valley Police are reminding drivers to watch out for pedestrians and bicyclists in crosswalks. Spokesman Jerry Ferguson says recently Chief Bryan Jarrell, witnessed one such incident while behind a car approaching an intersection.The crosswalk was occupied by a student on a bicycle on his way to Bradshaw Mountain High School. The vehicle made a right turn causing the bicyclist to swerve to keep from being hit by the car. Due to the severity of the violation, the police chief a traffic stop and issued a citation to the driver. Ferguson says when contacted, the driver stated she did not see the bicyclist in the crosswalk.
