Saturday afternoon, Prescott Valley Police officers were dispatched to Fitzmaurice View Court in Stoneridge for a downed motorcycle. Prescott Valley Police Spokesman Jerry Ferguson says upon arrival the officer observed a spray-painted white dirt bike under a tree with a male lying on his back. Investigation revealed that the motorcycle had been stolen out of Prescott the day before.When the officers attempted to arrest the individual, he fled into the brush.Officers collected the red backpack the subject left behind in order to impound it as personal property. While inventorying the backpack, the officers discovered the license plate for the stolen motorcycle, various drug paraphernalia and a variety of burglary tools. They also located a can of white spray paint.Later that evening, the subject, identified as 25-year old Christopher Jack Leach, was located but fled once again. After physically catching and controlling Leach, officers arrested him. Leach was booked into Yavapai County Jail.
