Saturday afternoon, Copper Canyon Fire, Sedona Fire and DPS responded to a semi versus semi crash on northbound I-17, just north of Camp Verde. Officials say crews arrived to find one semi with minor damage and the other fully involved in fire. The fire had spread to the load the truck was carrying and the forest. The fire was doused and no injuries were reported. The incident forced the closure of the interstate for 3 hours. DPS is investigating the cause of the crash.
