A semi fire slowed traffic on I-40 for several hours Tuesday. DPS says the semi caught fire at 3-pm on eastbound I-40 near Williams. Officials say both eastbound lanes were closed and westbound traffic was slowed due to smoke. Fire crews doused the fire in about an hour at which time one eastbound lane was opened. The entire roadway was reopened by 8:30-pm after the cleanup had been finished.
