12/30 YCSO and the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office have been receiving calls from the public saying they’ve been contacted by someone claiming to be from the Sheriff’s office. The scammers are using the phone number ID associated with YCSO and are very aggressive in their phone call tactics. Officials say this is not the Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s office will never contact the public to collect fines and/or threaten arrests. If you receive a call like this, hang up and report it.
