12/31 A Navajo County Sheriff’s Deputy was injured yesterday when they tried to arrest 22-year-old Steven Sauceda of Winslow during a domestic violence call. Officials say Sauceda fought with the deputy during the initial contact at the Kachina Garden Apartments, forcing the deputy to drive himself to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Sauceda was then located in another apartment, which he refused to leave. Negotiations began at which time he surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.
