Shooting Incident in Flagstaff

On Friday, December 6, 2024, at approximately 4:00 PM, Flagstaff Police Officers responded to a reported shooting incident in the 600 block of W Route 66. Upon arrival, officers located a 32-year-old male victim suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim was shot during an altercation involving two younger Native American males who subsequently fled the scene.

The victim was immediately transported to Flagstaff Medical Center in stable condition.

Members of the Criminal Investigations Division responded to conduct the investigation. Detectives spoke with witnesses and the victim, while additionally gathering evidence, including surveillance camera footage. Through diligent and thorough investigative efforts, the suspects have been identified as Reily Z. Sahneyah, 19, and Destry Sahneyah, 20, both of Peach Springs, Arizona.

Arrest warrants have been issued for both individuals, who are brothers, and they are considered armed and dangerous.
