10/30 Flagstaff was awarded a Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvement grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Railroad Administration for $4.9-million for the Amtrak Station Accessibility Project. The project includes reconstruction of the existing north platform and the addition of a new south platform. Matching funds in the amount of $1.2-million is being provided through a partnership between the City and BNSF Railway.
