Historic Land Exchange between Forest Service and Yavapai-Apache Nation

10/30 Prescott National Forest Supervisor Sarah Clawson signed the Decision Notice authorizing the equal value exchange of lands currently owned by the Yavapai Apache Nation for parcels on National Forest lands. The Yavapai-Apache Nation will host a signing ceremony on November 4-th at 10-am at the Nation’s Tunlii Community Center on East Cherry Creek Road in Camp Verde. The Forest Service is exchanging 3,201-acres of Yavapai-Apache ancestral homelands for 4,782-acres, located on 4-national forests.
