10/29 Tonto National Forest officials say multiple campgrounds in the Payson and Pleasant Valley Ranger Districts will be closed during the winter season from this Friday, November 1-st, to April 1-st, due to yearly maintenance. Lower elevation areas will remain open. Check their website before heading out to see what is and what isn’t open.
