Smokey Air the Result of Burns on Kaibab National Forest

10/25 The smoke in northern Arizona yesterday was from two prescribed burns being conducted on the Kaibab National Forest. Crews are burning 3-thousand acres, 15-miles south of Williams. The second burn involves 1,400-acres, 5-miles northwest of Williams. Both projects will continue through the weekend. These are the last 2-burns planned on the southern part of the forest.
