10/17 Prescott Police say DPS finished their investigation into a June Officer Involved Shooting in which the suspect was killed. On June 7-th, officers responded to a domestic violence call involving 34-year-old Daniel Leslie. Leslie fled the home on Sycamore Drive before officers arrived. An officer responding, spotted Leslie and began a pursuit, but the pursuit was called off for safety reasons. June 8-th, Leslie was contacted at the same home and failed to comply. At one point he tried to run into the house at which time he was shot 3-times; Leslie was not armed. The investigation has been forwarded to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for a full review, which is ongoing.
