10/11 Thursday, Governor Katie Hobbs and US Department of Agriculture Under Secretary for Natural Resources and Environment, Dr. Homer Wilkes, signed a Shared Stewardship Agreement that will strengthen collaboration between state and federal land management agencies in Arizona. The agreement builds on a 2020 Shared Stewardship Memorandum of Understanding, aimed at accelerating the pace and scale of projects like the Four Forest Restoration Initiative. It will use funding from the Biden-Harris Administration’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act.
