10/11 Cottonwood Police issued a sex offender notification for residents living in the area of Bill Gray Road and East Highway-89A. In 2014, in Yavapai County, 30-year-old Virgil Scott, was convicted of 3-counts of attempted sexual conduct with a minor and sentenced to 20-years of probation. The victim was a 13-year-old female known to Scott. Scott is a Level 2 Offender or intermediate risk to the community.
