Motorists are reminded that schools are going back in session over the next few weeks, which means you’ll find more young people heading to and from school in the morning and afternoon hours. Be sure to double check crosswalks, watch for kids on foot, skateboards and bicycles, obey the speed limit in school zones and you must stop for school busses regardless of your direction if the buss has its lights flashing and stop arm deployed. Parents and guardians taking their kids to school should give themselves extra time to do so until everyone gets familiar with the pickup and drop off routine.
