Four varieties of the popular snack cracker, Goldfish, are being recalled. Pepperidge Farms, who owns the company, said in a statement late Monday that the whey powder used in seasoning four varieties of the crackers may be contaminated with salmonella. The four recalled varieties are Flavor Blasted Xtra Cheddar, Flavor Blasted Sour Cream & Onion, Goldfish Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar and Goldfish Mix Xtra Cheddar with Pretzels. All of the affected products were sold in the U.S. No illnesses have been reported as a result of the potential contamination. The recall comes just one day after a recall was issued for Ritz Cracker cheese sandwiches and Ritz Bits products over similar concerns.
