YCSO arrests a level 3 sex offender for multiple failures to comply

YCSO spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says YCSO personnel spend a lot of time tracking and monitoring sex offenders in Yavapai County. When detectives learn of sex offender registration violations, they immediately investigate. This was the case with 30-year-old Andrew Ryan Adams, a level 3, or high risk offender who failed to register an address change as required. Additionally, Adams violated an electronic registration statue by failing to document on registration forms his two online ‘Face Book’ identifiers used to communicate on the internet.  Detectives were able to positively identify the Face Book profile photos as those of Adams and noted activity indicating he was using the accounts on a regular basis. On July 3rd, D’Evelyn says detectives conducted surveillance in the Village of Oak Creek where Adams was staying. When a vehicle left the location containing a man matching Adams’ description, a traffic stop was conducted and he was arrested. A search revealed marijuana and meth pipes, resulting in 2 more charges. Adams has a history of sex offender registration violations, including 3 violations since 2008 showing a clear pattern of failing to comply as mandated. He was booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center and remains in-custody.
