The town of Prescott Valley has been added to the list of those that have cancelled 4th of July Fireworks. Town Manager Larry Tarkowski says although the fireworks had been permitted by the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority and the Town had plans for added patrol and fire protection, historic dry conditions, the lack of forecast rain and extreme fire danger through the coming week led to the decision to cancel. Tarkowski said the fireworks show will be moved to the Town’s 40th Anniversary Pinnacle Weekend on August 25th.The Town has moved the celebration and family activities to the Prescott Valley Civic Center. Flagstaff and Prescott cancelled last week. Cottonwood and Chino Valley are still planning on fireworks at the moment.
