The Coconino County Board of Supervisors (Board) and County Manager’s Office were saddened to learn of the tragic passing of Fredonia Mayor Christy Riddle and her son on March 16. Mayor Riddle was a long-time dedicated public servant for the school district and community of Fredonia.
“It’s an absolute tragedy to lose a leader like Mayor Riddle so suddenly,” said Jeronimo Vasquez, Chair of the Board of Supervisors. “We send our condolences out to her family, and we honor Mayor Riddle for her long history of working for her community.”
“Mayor Christy Riddle was an exemplary public servant who worked tirelessly to turn Fredonia into a self-sufficient community,” said Lena Fowler, Supervisor for District 5. “She sought solutions by bringing people together and making positive changes. Her tragic loss is felt throughout our County.”
Funeral services for Christy Riddle and her son Trevor Burrows will be on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the Kanab Utah Kaibab Stake Center, 1435 South McAllister Drive, Kanab, Utah.
