DPS responded to a commercial vehicle fire on southbound I-17, 10 miles north of the Sedona exit Wednesday morning. Spokesman Quentin Mehr says the fire then spread to the surrounding brush. Fire crews were able to quickly contain the blaze. Mehr says the semi was stopped in the median and the inside lane of traffic was closed as the fire was extinguished. No injuries were reported.
