On 03/07/2024 at approximately 7:49 pm, Chino Valley Police Department Officers were dispatched to a trespass call in the 1200 block of Del Rio Drive.
Upon arrival Officers learned that Joshua White, a 37-year-old Chino Valley resident, had been knocking on his neighbor’s door and leaving them notes since November of 2023. Officers contacted Joshua and formally trespassed him from his neighbor’s property.
On 03/08/2024 at approximately 9:58 am, Chino Valley Police Department Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Del Rio Drive for a trespass call. Upon arrival Officers were informed Joshua had walked up to the residence, he had been trespassed from on 03/07/2024, knocked on the door and when there was no answer he attempted to open the door. Officers verified this information through the victim’s home surveillance system. Officers contacted Joshua to arrest him for trespassing. When Officers were taking Joshua into custody, he became combative and stuck an Officer in the face. Joshua continued to struggle with Officers until he was taken into custody. Joshua was booked into jail on charges of Trespassing, Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement, and Resisting Arrest.
On 03/09/2024 Joshua was released from custody with Felony release conditions. One of the conditions was he does not return to the victim’s residence.
On 03/10/2024 at approximately 4:19 am the victim from the trespass call was awoken by a noise inside their residence. The victim went into their living room area and saw Joshua standing there. The victim pushed Joshua out of their residence and Joshua fled on foot.
Chino Valley Police Officers and Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrived on-scene and attempted to locate Joshua. A reverse 911 call was initiated to area residents informing them to shelter in place as Officers and Deputies attempted to locate Joshua. Officers and Deputies were unsuccessful in locating Joshua in the area. Officers learned Joshua and his father Tim White, a 65-year-old Chino Valley resident, were not at their home and Timothy’s vehicle was gone. Through investigation Officers were able to determine Joshua and Timothy were in the Ash Fork area. Yavapai County Sheriff’s Officers contacted Joshua and Timothy. Joshua attempted to flee from Deputies while being taken into custody. Through investigation, Officers were able to determine Timothy knew law enforcement was looking for Joshua.
Joshua was booked into jail on charges of Burglary, Stalking, Resisting Arrest, and Interfering with Judicial Proceedings for violating his felony release conditions. Timothy was booked into jail on a charge of Hindering Prosecution.
