Early Sunday morning, YCSO responded to a report of an assault at the Hitching Post Motel in Mayer, where one person had been punched and threatened by another guest. Deputies arrived at the location and observed the suspect Ryan Wiles walking in front of the motel holding what appeared to be a large knife. After being given commands to drop the weapon, the suspect did so but barricaded into his room. The YCSO Quick Response Team responded to the scene, entered the room, and arrested the male without incident. Wiles is being booked in assault, disorderly conduct, threatening, and resisting arrest.
