Cottonwood Police responded to Walmart Thursday evening on a report of a disorderly subject. Sgt Monica Kuhlt says the 911 callers reported the man was threatening people in the store. Kuhlt say contact was made with 20-year old Scott Cunningham in the area of Rio Mesa and Carpenter Lane with his pants down, exposing himself. She says Cunningham refused commands by the officers and at one point tried to get into a vehicle that had stopped because he was standing in the road. When Cunningham tried to punch an officer, he was tazed and taken into custody. Charges include indecent exposure, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and aggravated assault on an officer. Why he was acting so strangely is not known.
