United Blood Services and Arizona hospitals are urging blood donors to roll up their sleeves in support of patients around the 4th of July holiday. Officials say while donor vacations typically reduce the number of people giving blood this time of year, heavy traffic on the highways increases the potential for accidents and the need for blood.
