Rainfall amount predictions through Saturday

The National Weather Service in Bellemont has issued rainfall predictions through Saturday. Prescott, Chino Valley, Cottonwood and Sedona and the Flagstaff region could see a quarter inch-to-a-half inch of precipitation with the eastern half of the state receiving much more. Predicted rainfall of an inch or two is predicted for areas like Show Low, Springerville, Alpine and St. Johns. The best chance for precipitation is tonight and tomorrow with showers tapering off Saturday evening. We’ll go back to clear skies with warming temperatures on Father’s Day. The public is asked to call 911 immediately if they see fires ignited by lightning.
