Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies report a Prescott Valley resident was jailed on numerous charges after he allegedly threatened three people, including two children, with a gun.
Deputies say 36-year-old Brandon Yager went to a house in Coyote Springs east of Prescott about 11pm Monday and took a vehicle from the residence, which was found damaged a short distance down the road. He then returned to the house, threatened those inside with a handgun, including a teenaged girl and a 10-year-old boy, and took another vehicle. Deputies responding to the scene saw the second vehicle in the road with hazard lights on, but no sign of Yager.
When deputies reached the residence, the victims reported that Yager had returned with the weapon, kicked in a door, and threatened them again before leaving the house. Deputies say they found Yager in the yard of the house and took him into custody without incident. They said a gun was found in the yard.
Yager was booked into jail on six felony charges, including two counts each of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Endangerment. He was also charged with a dozen misdemeanors and had an active warrant as well.
