The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for overnight lane restrictions at the Interstate 17 – State Route 169 traffic interchange as work continues on the SR 169 Bridge rehabilitation project.
The following restrictions will be in place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Tuesday evening, Aug. 29, through Wednesday morning, Aug 30:
- North- and southbound I-17 will be restricted overnight at the junction with SR 169 near Camp Verde (milepost 277-278 northbound, milepost 279-278 southbound).
- I-17 drivers will use the off- and on-ramps at SR 169 to exit and then re-enter the interstate. A temporary traffic signal will control ramp traffic through the work zone.
- Message boards and on-site flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone.
- The speed limit will be reduced on both I-17 and SR 169 while the overnight restrictions are in place.
The restrictions are needed as crews continue working on the SR 169 Bridge Deck Replacement at I-17 project.
