The Town of Camp Verde and Cottonwood Fire Department’s recently approved the agreement for Zonehaven, and we are incredibly excited to see the efforts for Evacuation Zones continuing throughout Yavapai County! Zonehaven is a software company that develops tools to help communities and first responders more effectively plan, communicate, and execute evacuations.
Through this program, they will be able to establish evacuation zones. Pre-established evacuation Zones help fire, law, and emergency service agencies prepare for, streamline, and reduce confusion around the evacuation process so that roads are clear for those who need to evacuate quickly.
This works jointly with existing Emergency Notification Systems, so when receiving a notice, you will be able to click on the link that takes you to the map. Be on the lookout for more information from Camp Verde and Cottonwood as they move forward with implementation!
