The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on Interstate 40 west of Seligman to plan for lane restrictions beginning Saturday, Aug. 12 through Friday, Aug. 18.
Be prepared to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the following restrictions are in place:
- Eastbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane at several locations, near Silver Springs Road, Willow Creek Bridges, Fort Rock Road and the Cross Mountain traffic interchange, (mileposts 77, 84, 85, 100 and 101).
- A 16-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place during this time.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 65 mph in the work zone.
The restriction is needed so crews can safely complete pavement repairs.
